6. Something will always go wrong and this can either create a massive impact on the ending as a happy one or a sad one.
- Just like codes/conventions #3, this will create a lot of emotion. The characters in the film could be angry at each other, making the audience lose hope in the relationship. Because the story focuses on the two, it can also create loneliness and the sense of companionship will most likely deteriorate if the story doesn't become better.
7. The type of camera shots they use in Romantic/drama films are close up's to show facial expressions, mid shots to introduce character/ show dialogue, pan/ tracking shots are used to show the intimacy between the two characters and this would usually show the audience that the two are walking side by side and are comfortable with each other.
8. A typical romance would involve sexuality, age, gender.
- Depending on what age the characters are, it can have its limitations. For example, teen relationships are strict. You don't often see them living in their own house and the romance usually blooms because they met at school. On the other hand, if it was an adult relationship, there's more freedom. Parents will most likely not be involved and the two can display more intimacy.
- For our final piece, we've decided to stick with an adult type relationship so that it can relate to more female viewers.
9. During the introductory scene, the setting helps the audience expect what is to come next and it can also show the audience what type of people the characters are through props.
